this is where it starts
The first time they trap a ball. The first time they score. The first time they don't want to leave the field. Future Eclipse is built for that moment.
Some kids arrive already obsessed with soccer. Some arrive because a parent signed them up and they're not sure yet. It doesn't matter. By the end of the first practice, most of them are the same — running around with a huge smile, asking when they get to come back.
That's what Future Eclipse is for.
Players ages 4 to 8 practice twice a week with Eclipse staff coaches in small groups, learning real skills through games and movement — not drills in a line. There are no separate game days, no weekend commitments, and no pressure. Just soccer, twice a week, with their friends.
The skills they build here are real. The techniques we teach at U5 are the same foundation our competitive players built on. But at this age, the most important thing we can do is make sure they love it. Everything else follows from that.

These are the explorers. At this age soccer is about touching the ball as much as possible, figuring out what their feet can do, and playing with their friends. Every practice ends with a small-sided game. No score is kept. No one sits on a bench.
What it looks like: Two practices per week as a group. Small-sided 3v3 and 4v4 games built into every session. Small fields, small goals, maximum touches. Games worked into practice — no separate game days.
Season options: Full Year (Summer through Spring) or seasonal — Summer, Fall, Winter, or Spring separately.
Commitment: Flexible. We know kids this age are trying everything. Come for a season, see what happens.
u8 - futures
U8 players get everything the younger groups get — the fun, the games, the great coaches — with a bit more structure added in. At this age kids are ready for more, and we give it to them without taking away the things that make Future Eclipse what it is.
This group trains with dedicated coaching specifically designed for their age. The training is more technical, the concepts are more developed, and by the end of the year they're ready for whatever comes next — whether that's competitive tryouts or eclipse development.
What it looks like: Two practices per week with dedicated coaching. Small-sided games with more tactical concepts introduced. Introduction to positional play and teamwork.
Season options: Full Year (Summer through Spring) or seasonal — Summer, Fall, Winter, or Spring separately.
Commitment: Flexible — same as younger groups. No pressure, no locked-in path.
what to expect
the coaches
Every Future Eclipse session is led by Eclipse staff coaches — the same coaches who work with our competitive teams. They know how to teach the game and they know how to work with kids this age. Expect patience, energy, and a lot of enthusiasm.
weekends are mostly yours
Games are built into practice time so there's no weekly weekend commitment. We occasionally offer optional scrimmages and play days on weekends — but they're always optional, never required. If you want to play recreational soccer on weekends through LMYA or OYA on top of Future Eclipse, you absolutely can — but we'll never require it.
real skills, real fun
We don't believe these are opposites. Your kid will leave Future Eclipse with better technique than when they started. They'll also leave having had a great time doing it.
ready to get started?
No tryouts. No waitlist for the current season. Players ages 4-8 can join Future Eclipse at any point in the year.
